HorsePowered was born from years of working with people and organizations in search of something profound—something they couldn’t quite articulate but deeply needed. While existing certification programs in equine-assisted services offered value, we found they often stopped short of addressing the full potential of what horses could offer. So, we went back to the roots, exploring methods as ancient as humanity’s relationship with horses, and what we discovered changed everything.

We believe in the transformative power of the horse to connect with its human counterpart. Through that connection, mountains—both physical and emotional—can be moved. But to unlock this potential, we realized that every part of the horse and every aspect of the interaction had to be engaged.
We began with groundwork, a foundational approach that allowed the horse and the human (or team) to truly understand one another. By exploring various horsemanship disciplines, we uncovered how each groundwork technique forged unique connections and opened doors to even deeper relationships.
From there, we moved beyond groundwork to working in the saddle. This shift revealed the next level of connection—a dynamic interplay of trust, communication, and experiential learning that instilled an extraordinary sense of self-confidence and empowerment in those involved.
